Flexible Non-Toxic Black Vinyl Tubing
This Black Vinyl Tubing, commonly referred to as “vinyl tubing”, “PVC tubing”, “plastic tubing” and “flexible tubing”, is lightweight and flexible and is widely used in the water garden, aquarium, fish hatchery, and hundreds of other industries for transport of liquids, gases and some light solids. The clear tubing has been formulated to meet applicable FDA, USDA, 3A, and NSF criteria and California Proposition 65 and may be steam sterilized. The black tubing is recommended in water gardening applications since it resists bacteria and algae growth and is generally invisible in ponds and water gardens.
Manufactured to have a smooth interior and exterior, our vinyl tubing prevents solid or sediment accumulation and is relatively impervious to bacterial action. It is lightweight, strong, yet very flexible and can easily stand up to situations requiring rough handlijng. Our Vinyl Tubing is easy enough for almost anyone to use. Trimming or cutting is simple, most sizes can but cut with scissors or heavy duty shears (it can also be cut with PVC pipe cutters). It easily conforms to barbed fittings and connectors. The smooth interior reduces friction, increasing your efficiency and lowering your overall operating cost. It also coils easily for storage and transport.

What our Vinyl Tubing is NOT intended for:

High heat situations. Our Vinyl Tubing is great for many applications, but it is too pliable and soft to work well in situations where you are venting hot air, such as furnaces, water heaters, wood burning heaters, etc. Do not use our vinyl tubing in these situations, even for temporary situations, because the high heat could cause the tube to collapse or bond, potentially causing a hazardous situation.

Situations where there is “constant” or “high” pressure. Water flowing through the pipe is not considered “constant pressure” or “high” and is normal. Constant pressure is created by flow being stopped at one end of the pipe for long periods of time.

Drinking or “potable” water situations. Our Vinyl Tubing is lightweight and flexible and it resists many types of chemicals, but we do not recommend its use with foods, beverages or drugs.
