90 Degree Slip X Slip Reducing Elbow Fitting for Schedule 40 PVC Pipe (Slip x Slip). Another configuration of the 90 degree reducing elbow is the 90 degree reducing slip x slip elbow. Using this elbow allows the user to connect two different size pipes at a 90 degree angle when both sides of pipe have a smooth exterior. The nomenclature can be a little tricky on these fittings. All of our Schedule 40 fittings are NSF rated 14 & 61, which means they are certified for use with potable (drinking) water. Maximum temperature is 140 degrees F.
